Horrid Henry the Movie – Film Preview

Published in Movie Magic Cornwall (July/August 2011)

Based on Francessa Simon’s popular children’s book, this big-screen adaptation sees newcomer Theo Stevenson step into the shoes of a colourful character.

When Henry fails to hand in his school homework, a list of chain events occur, which see him forming an unlikely alliance with Moody Margaret, (newcomer Scarlett Stitt) the infuriating girl next door, and his irritating little brother Perfect Peter.

Teaming up to save the school Henry has always professed to hate, chaos follows the group, Corrupting School Inspectors, toppling an evil headmaster, winning a talent contest, and facing his ultimate nemesis along the way.

Starring British talent Richard E. Grant as a rival headmaster, Rebecca Front as Henry’s headmistress Ms Oddbodd, and American actress Angelica Huston as Henry’s terrifying teacher Miss Battle-Axe, Horrid Henry finds himself getting into more trouble than ever before.

Presented in 3D and marked with a bunch of memorable characters from the children’s series, Horrid Henry’s big screen début looks set to cause tons of mayhem and make even the adventurous of  children seem behaved.
