After leaving our screens with a bang in 2003 in Spy Kids 3: Game Over, director Robert Rodriguez returns in this latest instalment in the Spy Kids series.
The newest outing revolves around twins Rebecca and Cecil (Rowan Blanchard and Mason Cook), who cannot get along with their stepmother, Marissa Cortez Wilson (Alba) who recently married their spy-hunting father Wilbur (McHale).
Unknown to them all, Marissa is a retired spy for the OSS (Organisation of Super Spies), and when Earth is threatened by a villain who goes by the name of “The Timekeeper” (Piven) is called back into action.
Left with no choice other than to put their anger against her aside, Rebecca and Cecil join the fight in order to save Earth and hundreds of innocent people.
With the help from former Spy Kids Carmen and Juni Cortez (Vega, Sabara), and loaded with a bunch of new gadgets, the fight is on to help save the world before it is too late.
Featuring familiar faces amongst a new generation this popular franchise of the noughties returns to our cinemas once again.
