Skins actress Kaya Scodelario has revealed plans for a potential Skins big-screen adaptation have been put on hold after years of planning.
During a recent interview, the star who played Effy in the hit British teen drama, said: “We were all signed up for the film, but it kind of disappeared.
“It’s been almost two years since we finished that series and I feel like people have moved on and they’re into the new characters now and that’s what they want to see,” she added.
Set to star as Catherine Earnshaw in Andrea Arnold’s 2011 British adaptation of Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel Wuthering Heights, Scodelario has not ruled out her keenness to step into the shoes of her Skins character again.
“I really would love it to happen because it would be great to film with everyone again. I know we’d all do it, it just depends if it happens or not,” she concluded.
