Indulge In Mebourne’s Favourite Coffee Shops

(Written for STYLECREEPER.COM)

Melbourne is renowned for its European-style backstreet laneways and arcades, and the cafés and restaurants that sit along them. With a huge selection to choose from, choosing your favourite coffee destination in Melbourne is virtually impossible. Whilst many Melbournians will have their regular haunts, why not mix things up a little one morning, and try some of the city’s more interesting and unique coffee spots?

Giraffe Café

Giraffe Café has one of the most enjoyable vibes in Melbourne. The café excels in elegance, whilst being quirky at the same time. Offering excellent food and beverage choices, Giraffe gives you the impression that you are sat in a garden, with a large tree in the middle of the floor adding to the ambiance.

The mismatched tables and chairs, and quirky objects adds a quirky element many Melbournians enjoy during their early morning or weekend visit. With a buzzing atmosphere, and great prices, the Giraffe Café at 302 Lonsdale Street is a must-visit if you are in Melbourne!

Brother Baba Budan (BBB)

Rated as one of Melbourne’s favourite coffee shops year after year, Brother Baba Budan offers originally sourced blends of coffee from some of the world’s best coffee regions.

With wooden chairs hanging from the ceiling, shelves filled with coffee-themed knick-knacks and chaotic clutter that enhances the innovative use of the space, the Brother Baba Budan, located at 359 Little Bourke Street, is for anyone with a taste for worldwide coffee blends.

Penny Farthing Espresso

For those looking to get more than just caffeine in their coffee, Penny Farthing Espresso offers a unique menu of coffee cocktails. Served from 5:00pm Tuesday through to Sunday, some java-inspired libations include the “Ginger Mini Bike,” ginger beer and Triple Sec with a floated double ristretto, the “Bali Trike,” with Bali Kintamani brewed filter style, Ketel One Vodka, Triple Sec and muddled orange, and the “Five-speed,” a blend of Tequila, Kahlua, PFE blend double ristretto, crème de cacao and cinnamon. Of course, you can also get coffee sans liquor if you prefer.

Located on 206 High Street, Penny Farthing Espresso is a must if you are looking to try coffee with a twist.
