Nicki Minaj ‘Pink Friday’ Launch

Nicki Minaj has joined the A-list ranks by launching her own fragrance in Sydney, Australia.

The Starships singer attended the launch at Sydney’s Myer department store, where she was welcomed by hundreds of Australian fans.

In Sydney as part of her Roman Reloaded World Tour, Minaj appeared at the six-storey department store in the heart of Sydney’s Central Business District, to launch her eagerly-awaited fragrance Pink Friday exclusively to Myer.

Welcomed by a vibrant pink stage and track list of Minaj’s most recent hits, the atmosphere was buzzing for those waiting to get a glimpse of the world-famous superstar, some of whom had been waiting since the early hours of the morning.

Minaj arrived on stage a respectively, yet expected, 20 minutes after schedule donning a patchwork dress, which could easily be mistaken for something taken out of a pantomime.

Speaking exclusively at the launch, Minaj said: “I would like to thank Myer for letting me launch my perfume in Australia. I couldn’t have asked for a better day to be in Sydney. My Australian fans are the best!”

Greeting over 150 VIP fans that had exclusively purchased the fragrance in advance to secure a meet and greet with Minaj, the R&B singer was more than happy to welcome her Australian followers to the stage, taking up just over an hour of the launch.

Entertaining the crowd with her energetic and animated appearance, Minaj was all smiles after a week which saw her spat with fellow American Idol judge Steven Tyler spiral out of control, after she accused the American singer of being a racist.

After the launch, Minaj showed her appreciation to her fans, saying: “So in love with my Australian fans. Thank you so much for coming to Myer’s today for the fragrance launch. You guys were incredible.”
